| Don’t hold your breath it’s just another update on MV like the one that already happened not long ago (MV 1.5) and infuriated users because it made previous plugins unusable without modifications. This time the update will break them again so they got an idea.
If you put a brand-new sticker on what is essentially MV 2.0 and name it something else, you can make people pay again for what could have been free! But let’s also take that opportunity to add new generic RTP and some bonuses in the editor like tileset layers (this is why the Steam page now ask for minimum 8go of RAM and 64bit OS and at least Windows 8) it’s nothing you couldn’t have with free plugins or cheap asset-packs, please prepare your 70$ for the Steam pre-order and be excited.
“Prepaaaaare to be wowed!!!”
But anyway you people here only care about RM2003 and adding gimmicky band aids on it to the point it looks like some Frankenstein Monster begging to be mercy killed, kind of like your beloved Aedemphia that nobody will play outside this tiny community (and the people that will do it won’t keep playing more than a few hours, or even minutes) because it looks unappealing not only for a modern audience but even for retro enthusiasts used to new standards and conveniences, I’m not even talking about the game itself and its uncanny euro-design riddled with useless details bloating a non-wide Lilliputian resolution.
People are dumb, give them new RTP and they’ll think it’s a totally brand-new engine. Be smart and don’t buy it, at least not at full price, it’s a lazy RPG MAKER MV 2.0 update in disguise.
